"Singer, songwriter, lawyer, and activist, Kathleen Williamson plays music that spans rock, folk, and jazz. Her latest CD, The Sacred Spud, is full of gorgeous original tunes, sung with beauty, verve, and her inimitable style."

Musician's Union
Broadcast Localism: The AFM takes a stand on Current Issues - The Federation resolves to undertake efforts to increase broadcast localism, joining with other artists' organizations to make its position know to the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). The Federation defines the broadcast localism as programming and material created by community members, as a licensing process that receives input from co9mmunity members, and as broadcasting that serves the local, public interest. The Federation further believes the FCC must prohibit new destructive payola practices that control the radio and music industries today and improve existing procedures for enforcing payment and sponsorship identification rules.  Kathleen is a proud member of Phoenix Local 586 and a Board Member of Community Supported KXCI-FM 91.3 Tucson/ www.kxci.org.
